Plants vs Zombies on the Playbook!!
Plants vs. Zombies has been speculated to arrive on the Playbook for the past month or so and it is finally here and it shows that the Playbook is finally starting to get some big application support.
For those of you who don't know Plants vs. Zombies is one of the most successful iOS applications of all time and is up there with the likes of Angry Birds. It is simply a tower defence game with Plants fighting zombies.. but what makes it so great is the many different plants you can unlock and buy and the different zombies you have to face and the different terrains you have to face them on!
We now have three of the most popular applications for iOS on the Playbook running beautiful in the form of Angry Birds (with Seasons and Rio too,) Cut the Rope and now PvZ. HOWEVER, for some reason these applications keep coming out at very high price points for the Playbook, Angry Birds is £4.99 whereas it is about £2.00 on the iPad and Cut the Rope at £3.00 which is about £1.50 on the iPad and now PvZ takes the mick by costing £7.00!!!!
I believe this is due to the fact that RIM have messed up the App World, for some reason it doesn't convert the money to British pounds, it merely swaps the dollar sign for a British Pound sign. I hope this gets sorted soon as it's making us Brits pay £7.00 for an app that in theory should only cost about £5!
But this post is about PvZ, not the poor RIM App World conversion rate. Go buy PvZ if you are willing to spend £7.00 on a game and definitely go and have a play as you'll be playing for a LONG time trust me!
If I can bring myself to buy the application, I'll definitely have a review up for you guys if you're not certain as to whether to spend your money or not!
Thank you for reading..
Luke....out!
**UPDATE** The game has been lowered to £5.00 obviously due to my Blog post! ;)
